Bulova 96A118 BVA Series Automatic Watch Review

Today I would like to indulge myself and review one of my favorite automatic watches from Bulova. In case you don’t know, automatic watches are self powered by the kinetic energy of your arm… There is a spring-loaded movement that converts the movement of your arm into measured vibrations in the watch, and so automatic watches are completely battery free.

The Bulova 96A118 Mechanical Collection men’s watch is the particular automatic watch I’m going to be reviewing, and I have to say, it’s a good one (spoilers!).

As you continue reading my Bulova 96A118 review, you’re going to learn everything you need to know before deciding to buy or not to buy this excellent entry-level self-winding watch. We’ll start with a semi-detailed overview of the pros and cons, and then I’ll go into a more personal review below those.

Bulova 98H51 Dress Collection Men’s Watch Review

Sometimes simplicity says a lot more than complexity. Sometimes class is effortless. Sometimes the clearest message is spoken at the softest volume. And sometimes, as with the Bulova 98H51 Dress Collection, vintage fashion comes in an affordable package.

As you can tell just from looking at the picture of this beautiful – but minimalistic – men’s watch, it doesn’t take a whole lot of features or a complex design to create a very classy timepiece. This watch is elegant, functional, wearable, and nothing more. As you continue reading, I will give you a brief summary of the pros and cons, followed by a more in-depth Bulova 98H51 review below:

Bulova 96B130 Precisionist Longwood Watch Review

As you may or may not already know, the Precisionist quartz movement from Bulova is one of the most noteworthy horological innovations of the past 10 years. Every watch in the Precisionist collections features a superpowered movement which vibrates at a much higher frequency with a slightly different crystal than other quartz powered movements.

The long and short of it is that the Bulova 96B130 Precisionist Longwood will only vary by as much as 10 seconds… Per year! And it has a sweeping secondhand that is actually smoother than what you would find in most mechanical watches.

I have already reviewed a fair number of watches from the Bulova Precisionist collections, so I won’t spend a ton of time on this Bulova 96B130 review, but I did go ahead and do some extra research and put together this nice pros and cons list for you followed by my personal verdict on what this men’s watch offers and for who:

Bulova Women’s 96R19 Diamond Chronograph Watch Review

Bulova 96B128 Precisionist Claremont Watch Review

As you may already know, Bulova’s Precisionist watches are some of the most accurate in the world. The Precisionist quartz movement beats eight times faster than normal quartz powered watches, and the result is near-atomic accuracy and that sweeping secondhand for style points.

The Bulova 96B128 Precisionist Claremont watch makes the perfect gift, whether you’re buying it for yourself or for a loved one. The classic design is powerful without being over-the-top. The watch is lightweight, well-made, and the sweeping secondhand is hypnotic to behold.

Here’s my pros and cons review of the Bulova 96B128:

Bulova 98B104 Marine Star Watch Review

All of the watches in Bulova’s sport collection are designed for everyday wear. The Bulova men’s 98B104 Marine Star is no exception; it is a beautiful combination of classic style, affordability and wearability. This is the type of watch you could wear with casual every day attire with no problem.

As far as the technical specifications go, you’re looking at a Quartz powered watch with a 3-dial chronograph (minutes on left, seconds on bottom, hours on right) and water resistance to 100 m. As with any watch from Bulova, you’re buying from a brand with a history of great watchmaking, and to this day they offer some of the best customer service around, especially for the brands marketing under $1,000 watches.

Below you will find a review of the pros and cons:

Bulova 96B104 Dress Collection Watch Review

The first thing that most people ask when they first see this stunning men’s watch and the price that it’s available for is, “what’s the catch?”

There’s no denying that the design of the Bulova men’s 96B104 Dress Collection is well executed. The simplistic silver dial is both elegant and sleek, and well complemented by the black calfskin leather strap. It has several other appealing features that we will cover below, but you don’t have to dig very deep to get a feel for how underpriced this men’s watch is.

After doing my review, I did come up with a few cons that you should be aware of, but on the whole I can tell you right now that this is a very high quality timepiece for the price.

Bulova 96B131 Precisionist Champlain Watch Review

The Precisionist quartz movement is Bulova’s newest innovation from a brand that has a history of innovative watchmaking. And the Bulova 96B131 Precisionist watch features perhaps the most contemporary design in the entire collection, which has made it one of Bulova’s best-selling watches in the past few years.

There are two primary features that separate the Precisionist collection from other quartz powered watches… Near-atomic accuracy and the sweeping secondhand. This is accomplished through a souped-up quartz crystal that beats 16 times per second instead of the normal 1 time per second.

But enough technical talk, let’s get to the pros and cons!
