My Invicta 3045 Grand Diver Watch Review

The Grand Diver collection, in case you don’t know is based off of Invicta’s Pro Diver collection, a very successful and well respected series of men’s watches. The primary difference between the Grand Diver and Pro Diver are as follows:

The Grand Divers have water resistance to 300M, whereas the Pro Divers usually were either 100M or 200M. In addition, the Grand Diver is much larger and more masculine looking. The case is extra deep, too.

Invicta 3044 Grand Diver

Basically the Grand Diver Collection is the Pro Diver on them steroids. It’s bigger, better, faster…Except it does have the same movement as the Invicta 8926. The Miyota 8215 Japanese 21 jewel movement is of much higher quality and should be accurate enough for most.

The Myota 8215 is often compared to the ETA 2824 in terms of accuracy and functionality, as it has the same date function and is nearly indentical. The 2824 is more accurate; it has 25 jewels and beats 8 times per second (28,800 vph), whereas the Myota 8215 has 21 jewels beats 5 times per second (18,000 vph).

Invicta 3049 Grand Diver GT

Invicta 3049 Grand Diver GT

Most of the time when you tell people you’re interested in a Grand Diver, they’ll automatically assume you mean the 3044 (to your right), since it’s the most popular model. It’s the same watch but with a slightly different looking case and dial.

And if you want something MORE flashy (hey, ain’t nothing wrong with no flashy man – for any Electric Six fans…) then I’d have to recommend the Invicta 3049 GT (to your left), which has an upgraded Sapphire Crystal window and mother-of-pearl dial. If you’ve never owned a watch with a big mother of pearl dial like this, then I would really recommend the Invicta 3049; that dial is BEAUTIFUL!

Anyways, hopefully one of these three watches appeals to your sense of style, because these are all high quality time pieces, especially the 3049.

My Verdict of the Invicta Men’s 3045 Grand Diver

If you DO decide to take the plunge and get the Invicta 3045 Grand Diver you will NOT be disappointed. It’s beautiful; the size and masculine appeal alone make the watch worth wearing. However, once you account for the accurate Myota movement (which, admittedly could be upgraded to something Swiss…), the tank-like case and the deep blue dial and bold design.

Well, it’s hard to say no, let’s leave it at that.

Anyways, I suppose I’m out of stuff to say about the Invicta 3045 Grand Diver automatic watch…I hope that something somewhere in this review has helped you out! Folks, I really do appreciate it that you got through my entire review…Feel free to check out some of my other ones if you’d like!
